COURSE OBJECTIVE

Lean is the systematic way of identifying and eliminating waste in the entire value chain of the organization, thereby enhance value to customers.

The results of lean are Lower cost, Improved quality and Improved delivery performance. Value stream map (VSM) is a process mapping tool which is used to map the entire value chain and identify waste.

At the end of the course the participant will have a good understanding on the need for lean systems and the methodology to accomplish this. He/She will be able to take up lean projects in his/her own working area and complete by using VSM and Lean tools.

  • Value stream mapping, Current state – Future state, VSM Icons Identification of waste
  • Application of Lean tools – 5S, Visual work place, Poka Yoke, Jidoka, Line balancing, Quick change over, Kaizen, Total Productive maintenance (TPM) - OEE
  • Inventory control - Kanban
